Late Summer Sunrise at Nobska Lighthouse Notecard
September is the time of year when, for reasons I’ve never understood, sunrises and sunsets are typically beautiful on Cape Cod. One of the best spots for sunrise in the fall and winter is Nobska Lighthouse in Woods Hole. The Coast Guard recently turned the lighthouse over to the newly formed Friends of Nobska Light and they’ve done a fantastic job improving the grounds, renovating the keeper’s house, and making the lighthouse a better place to visit for everyone. It was great to be able to explore the grounds without worrying about disturbing the folks who used to live in the keeper’s house when it was an active Coast Guard facility.
