Fall on the Old Jackson Road

Fall is one of my favorite times in New England - I love exploring all of my favorite trails under the fall foliage and finding new spots. Wherever you go, the woods are just so beautiful during peak autumn color that it’s almost impossible to not find some good pictures to take. This photo was taken on a short walk with my dog from the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center. The Old Jackson Road runs above the current path of Route 16 and on this beautiful fall day the light was filtering through the trees and the old gravel road was carpeted in bright red maple leaves.
