Icy Sunset at Jordan Pond

I took this photo at the beginning of a sunset hike up Pemetic Mountain on New Year’s Eve. A brief warm spell had melted most of the ice on Jordan Pond. The rocks along the shoreline were still crusted with ice and the late afternoon light lit up the distant peaks of the Bubbles and the foreground rocks and ice beautifully.
