An elevated view from Ensign Peak of Salt Lake Valley at dusk, showing the illuminated city grid spreading across the valley floor with thousands of orange and white streetlights and buildings, backed by snow-covered mountains under a deep blue twilight sky.

Salt Lake Valley Sunset

I took this panorama photo from Ensign Peak at the north end of Salt Lake City. A spring storm had just blown off the peaks of the Wasatch Range to the east and the lights of the Salt Lake Valley stretched off, seemingly endless, to the south. The Utah Capitol Building is visible directly in the foreground.
