I took this photo from Middle Sugarloaf Mountain in late May. This is one of my favorite spots for winter photography of the Presidential Range because it is so accessible and I thought I’d try it out in the summer, as well. The hike up is short and steep but the views of Mount Washington, Mount Jefferson, Mount Monroe, Mount Eisenhower, and Mount Madison peeking out from behind Mount Adams are hard to beat. On this particular evening a breeze kept the bugs away and the mountains glowed a beautiful purple and pink color at twilight.
