I hiked Mount Liberty for sunrise on February 10th, 2026. After the sun came up, alpenglow lit up the Green Mountains to the west. The visibility was excellent—I could see Mount Mansfield and the Stowe ski trails clearly. The frost-covered Cannonballs occupied the foreground, appearing blue in the early light. The sky showed a gradient from warm pink and orange along the distant peaks to peach above. I’ve done this hike many times, but I’ve never seen the Green Mountains this clearly before.
