On a windy morning, I captured this panoramic view from the summit of Mount Liberty on Franconia Ridge. The sun had risen behind me, illuminating the snow-capped slopes of Cannon Mountain, the Cannonballs, and North Kinsman Mountain across Franconia Notch. Closer to the foreground, the radiant eastern exposure of the iconic Franconia Ridge, including Little Haystack Mountain and Mount Lincoln, is visible. In the background, Mount Garfield stands prominently.
