Sandy Neck Lighthouse Sunset

Sandy Neck Lighthouse sits at the tip of (you guessed it) Sandy Neck in Barnstable, Massachusetts. It’s a difficult lighthouse to photograph - the cluster of cottages and the lighthouse are at the end of almost five miles of sand dunes and are all private. You can see it from a boat but it’s tough to take longer exposure photographs from a rocking boat. There are a few spots along the northern shore of Cape Cod where you can see the lighthouse across the water and with a telephoto lens capture sunset on the cottages and lighthouse itself.
