In late November I finally got to see a sunset with brilliant alpenglow on Franconia Ridge from Lonesome Lake. I was hiking down from North Kinsman Mountain and could see the mountains starting to glow yellow through the trees. I ended up running over the icy trail down to the shore of the lake to get there in time.
