The winter of 2026 was an ideal time for hiking. The sustained cold and abundant snowfall transformed the forests of the White Mountains into a snow-covered wonderland, creating perfect snowshoe conditions. I captured this breathtaking moment on the Webster-Jackson trail, approximately a mile below the summit of Mount Jackson. The trees were laden with snow, and the snow level on the ground was so high that we felt like we were hiking through a tunnel.
