Beach Rose Sunset at Forest Beach
As the sun set on the early June evening, I explored behind the dunes at Forest Beach in Chatham, MA and found a few isolated patches of rosa rugosa blooming next to a sandy path. The dunes blocked the wind enough that I was able to take this low-light exposure without any blur in the beach rose flowers themselves.
This photo was taken about 15 minutes after the actual sunset proving why I always stay after the sun dips below the horizon. Sometimes the best light occurs then when the light coming from below the horizon reflects off the clouds.
