Grand Teton National Park, WY
Moulton Barn Winter Sunrise
The Teton Range towers over Moulton Barn in Grand Teton National Park. This barn is one of the most popular spots in the park - in the summer when you can drive right in. In the winter, Antelope Flats Road to Mormon Row is closed and, when I was there in March, buried under at least five feet of snow.
Scott Hotaling and I slept in our cars and woke up hours before sunrise. We hiked through the frozen tundra for an hour or so as the sky gradually lightened at our backs. Just as we arrived at the barn, the first hints of pink were starting to light up the peaks of the Teton Range. This sunrise at Moulton Barn wound up being one of the most memorable I've experienced.
My personal favorite - the photograph is printed onto high-quality art canvas, coated with a protective acrylic finish, and stretched onto a 1.25” frame. Canvases include mounting hardware and are ready to hang in your home. I sign and title canvases on the back of the print.
I use 100% cotton acid- and lignin-free fine art paper with archival inks to produce a giclee print. These are museum quality prints that will last for decades without fading. The photograph is printed with a white border to allow for easy mounting and framing. I hand title and sign the border of each print in pencil.
The photograph is printed onto a specially coated sheet of aluminum using dye infusion. This brings out a stunning amount of color and clarity and is perfect for photos with lots of color and contrast. The final print includes a hanger which floats your print half an inch off the wall.
